Software Engineer - (JAVA)

Are you a driven Software Developer with a passion for crafting impactful solutions? We are seeking a skilled engineer with over 3 years of experience to join our team. You'll work with Java 8+ and leverage your expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices to develop robust applications. Your skills in translating business requirements into code, performing root cause analysis, and suggesting enhancements are essential. This role involves writing new software, modifying systems, and integrating applications while following best practices and company standards.

Shift Timing - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Hybrid Work Model: Work from Office Twice a week


About the Role:

Writes new software, makes modifications to existing software, or integrates software applications and modules in accordance with agreed-upon specifications.

Ability to understand low-complexity business requirements and translate them into coding.

Actively participates and collaborates in meetings, processes, agile ceremonies and interaction with other technology groups.

Ability to interpret code and solve problems based on existing good practices and standards.

Participates in the code review process for learning purposes

Acts on the correction of incidents identified by the continuous code quality inspection tool.

Need for moderate guidance and review in carrying out activities

Develops and modifies software, integrating applications and modules per specifications, while translating low-complexity business requirements into code.

Actively participates in meetings, agile ceremonies, and collaborates with technology groups, adhering to best practices and standards.

Engages in code reviews for learning, addresses code quality issues, and executes designs with moderate guidance.

Provides technical support to operations and development teams, creating and maintaining technical documentation for supportability.

Suggests solutions or enhancements for review, implements directed solutions, and participates in project planning with design options and work estimates.

Updates project status, participates in team meetings, resolves customer issues, and adheres to disciplined development processes and corporate policies.

Understands the markets we serve, our products and customers along with their needs and priorities.

Knowledge of business rules related to the company's products

Able to review and understand business, functional, technical and/or project requirements.

Business knowledge related to the products in which we operate.

Leadership 

Understands product strategy & objectives. Aligns Software Development Engineering work accordingly.

Addresses routine objections and concerns with limited support; knows when escalation is needed.

Creates operating mechanisms to ensure all voices are heard within the project team; commits to team decisions once made.

Identifies opportunities to improve business and technology processes.

Shares information clearly and articulately via all mediums to all audiences.

Actively participates and collaborates in meetings, processes, agile ceremonies, and interaction with other technology groups.

Learns and adapts; bounces back from setbacks.

About You:

3+ years professional software development experience with Java 8 or above with proficiency in lambda and Streams primarily.

Strong knowledge Spring Boot/ Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Microservices.

Experience with Git, Docker, and Jenkins, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge and experience on application scalability, security and monitoring technologies.

Experience of Linux and/or UNIX (Basic search and filter commands, regular expressions, etc).

Proven the ability to create, share status, and successfully deliver on a project plan.

Familiarity with one or more of the following: AWS, AI/LLM, Web UI, RESTful APIs, WordPress, and CDN.

Knowledge of CI/CD, release processes, and familiarity with tools like IaC, and GitHub Actions.

Experience in GIT or similar source code control system.
