We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a software engineer for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division. JOB DETAILS LOCATION: San Antonio, TX JOB STATUS: Full-time TRAVEL: 5% REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS US citizen Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant rigorous technical discipline and 3 years' experience of which 3 years must be in the DoD; or 7 years' experience in lieu of degree, of which 5 must be in the DoD. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical expertise and guidance to software development of the C2IE enterprise baseline Function as a project owner that will work closely with the vendor on the right side of the systems engineering V supporting agile development processes. Lead PI planning and sprint reviews with the O&M vendor Review vendor-provided artifacts and deliverables and provide insight and guidance to improve the C2IE enterprise operational baseline. Vendor-provided artifacts and deliverables include but are not limited to CDRLs, SDD, sprint review slides, release notes, and meeting notes and slides. Conduct regular review of Government’s scurity findings to ensure the, O&M vendor’s remediation plans are appropriate, adequate, and timely to fortify cyber readiness posture Apply expertise on data management, requirements, cybersecurity, technical personnel staffing and software engineering to review, comment, and create new requirements for the PWS for the C2IE O&M support vendor follow-on contract. Improve processes and develop the standard operating procedures for system soft certificate creation and management, account management, and help desk escalation Lead analysis of alternatives of architectures and solutions involving exquisite technologies. Review the help C2IE desk ticketing system and help desk inboxes on a regular basis to ensure customer issues are resolved on a timely basis, and engage with the helpdesk to avoid lags as necessary to improve processes and timelines. Actively plan and engage in operational deployment cadences to ensure deliberate planning and testing occurs to minimize system outages and impact to Users.
