Software Engineer Lead – Java, Spring, Angular

Primary Responsibilities:

Be able to independently troubleshoot problems and zero in on the likely root causes Define and drive improvements in the overall quality including automation, code coverage and inspection processes Be able to do POC on emerging tech stack Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical or equivalent 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing and delivering commercial application software Experience with front-end technologies like Angular and ReactJS Experience in security issue fixes (Defender, Prisma, GitHubCodeQL/Defender) Experience with Micro services Experience in providing technical guidance and inculcating engineering best practices within development teams Experience with Cloud based technologies such as Docker, Mesos, Kubernets, AWS, Openshift or similar container technologies Experience with DevOps Tools like Jenkins/XL Deploy Experience with Linux or UNIX platform Experience creating version management strategy and working knowledge of version control systems like Git/GitHub Experience in conducting design and code reviews Experience working in teams following Agile development methodologies (Iterative, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) Solid experience developing web applications on the Java platform (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Web Services) Knowledge of Web servers like Apache Tomcat, Websphere Application Server, Jboss Expert knowledge on Java JEE frameworks like Spring/SpringBoot and have at least 5 years of experience in Java JEE projects Fundamental knowledge of algorithms and data structures Solid knowledge of RDBMS and experience working with SQL Server/Oracle and No SQL including writing complex join queries Sound knowledge and experience of unit testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g. MOQ) Sound understanding of basic operating system and networking concepts Exposure to complete software product lifecycle encompassing requirements analysis, prototyping, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment Proficiency in applying object-oriented principles and recommended design patterns to create robust and scalable system designs Proven excellent communication skills Proven assertive leadership qualities Proven ownership and accountability for the assigned tasks Proven excellent team player and collaborator Proven proactive in identifying and escalating potential risks and impediments and coming up with alternative solutions

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Java certification Knowledge of Data Modeling for solutions from high level requirement Knowledge of application monitoring tools Splunk, Dynatrace  Proven ability to contribute to Open Source projects
