Software Engineer Lead

Summary:
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. This role includes creating software platforms and fine-tuning the final programs post-development.

Job Responsibilities:

Consultation and Evaluation:

Collaborate with engineering teams to assess hardware-software interfaces. Develop specifications and performance requirements. Resolve customer-related software issues.

Maintenance and Support:

Advise customers on software system maintenance. Perform necessary updates and optimizations.

Testing and Validation:

Develop and oversee software system testing and validation procedures.

Communication:

Keep customers and departments informed on project statuses, proposals, and technical issues related to software design and maintenance.

Documentation:

Direct software programming efforts and develop comprehensive documentation.

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. Proficient in managing time effectively and working independently. Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including: Business/systems analysis Requirements gathering Functional specification authoring Development, testing, and delivery Proficient in troubleshooting and making system adjustments. Familiarity with development tools and languages, such as SQL, Java, and J2EE.

Education/Experience:

Education:

High School Diploma Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience required.
