Our team designs distributed systems to authenticate and authorize users to high volumes of machine-generated data at scale. We are proud of owning what we build even after it's deployed to production. We ensure code hygiene, use open-source libraries, employ continuous integration and delivery, and have a strong belief in automated testing at multiple levels (unit, integration, system). We are uniquely positioned as a globally distributed team with team members in a variety of locations.Requirements:Must have experience in developing and solving problems with multi-threaded server applications written in C/C++ on Linux and optionally Windows platformsStrong debugging and fixing skills including the use of associated toolsExperience working on highly scalable systems involving network communications and associated protocols e.g. REST, TCP/IP, HTTPKnowledge about identity standards and authorization paradigms.Experience maintaining enterprise software deployed in on-premise and cloud environmentsMinimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3+ years and a Master's Degree.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain server-side applications for authorization, e.g. policy language and enforcement implementation.Analyze, identify and resolve the bottlenecks of distributed systems, data pipeline, multi-threaded coherency and other complicated scenarios.Engage in design and code reviews of the product, and maximize your knowledge of customers’ experiences to prevent future problemsOffer thought leadership on how to make code maintainable and the product diagnosable and serviceableParticipate in rotating on-call duties to diagnose and tackle customer issues.What we provideA team of incredibly capable and dedicated peers, all the way from engineering to product management and customer support.Fun! Base Pay Range: $146,400.00 - 201,300.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $131,760.00 - 181,170.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $117,120.00 - 161,040.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
