Join the SBIRS Ground Software Team
As a member of the SBIRS ground software team, you will develop software that leverages current and untapped sensor system capabilities for collection, detection, tracking, and characterization of new and changing threats.
Job Opportunity
We are seeking a senior software developer to take on a leadership role within our software development team. As a leader, you will guide the product through the entire development process and deliver high-quality software. In addition to your own programming and coding duties, you will serve as a resource and mentor for other developers, helping to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates require 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.
A Final Secret clearance is required prior to start

Basic Qualifications:
• Previous C++ and/or Python development experience
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of Agile framework
• Experience working with system requirements, generating software requirements, design, code, and unit test
• Experience doing SW/SW and SW/HW integration
• Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
• US citizenship is required

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,900 - $164,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
