The Software Engineer Senior – Developer Experience role within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is responsible for working on key initiatives that impact the entire CTO organization. This role involves contribution and support towards organization wide initiatives and helping streamlines the processes, while bringing out efficiencies. Software Engineer Senior role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and champion the integration of platform and AI solutions across the organization.

What you’ll own

Specialist who can develop robust technology solutions, maintain and support key products & initiatives within the organization.

Help in rolling out, maintain key platforms including GitHub Copilot and other AI tools across organization

Evaluate existing products & platforms focusing on continuous improvement

Work closely with senior engineers & architects and provide technical guidance for systems and process optimization opportunities.

Provide leadership and manage daily activities of the development team.

Instill best practices for software development and documentation, deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.

Support hiring, team development and engagement activities.

Collaborate with peer teams on complex, global engineering efforts to ensure architecture agreement, resource coordination, and implementation timelines.

Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches.

Ensure proper communication concerning changes in established milestones or challenges that may affect the outcomes.

Where you’ll own it

You’ll own it in our modern Bangalore/Indore hub. With hubs in the heart of city centers and tech capitals, things move fast in APAC. We pride ourselves on being an agile and dynamic collective, collaborating with different teams and offices across the globe

What you bring

7+ years of hands-on development experience with multiple skillsets including Java/.Net/Python covering Application/Backend, UI/Frontend platforms.

Strong understanding/expertise in building solutions using AI & Cloud Technologies

Experience working with GitHub Copilot and other AI tools.

Experience REST APIs/ Micro services architecture, DevOps and CI/CD Platforms

AI and Cloud Development experience.

Strong experience on end to end SLDC process.

Good understanding of SAFE agile principles & experience working with Scrum/Kanban agile methodology.  

Collaborative mindset, along with ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.

Ability to effectively organize and contribute to multiple organizational initiatives and encourage coworkers to do the same.

Open to learning new technologies.

Ability and flexibility to align with organizational priorities.

Added bonus if you have:

Data analytics skills – using tools like Excel/PowerBI/Tableau.
