This position is for a Software Engineer to support training systems development. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. This position is located in Hurlburt Field, FL at the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Training and Logistics (TLS), Keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools will be encouraged. The Work
As a member of our Software Engineer team you will:
• Develop software solutions for flight simulators
• Integrate new technologies into various systems
• Support analysis of requirements, design, test and implementation of real-time software

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of professional experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with at least one modern software language such as C++, C, C#, and/or Java (Preferably C++)
• Experience with one or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, HTML and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Proficiency in a Git Version Control System
Desired Skills:
• Software development in C/C++ in a Linux environment
• Agile (scrum) experience
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Continuous integration/ Continuous deployment (CI/CD) experience with Gitlab
• Experience with Vue Java Script (VueJS)
• Experience with Fortran and/or Ada
• Automation with Ansible
• Experience with any of the following: flight simulation, aerodynamics modelling, weapons, avionics, electronic warfare, radar
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
