Software Engineer - ServiceNow

Overview:

The job duties are as follows:  

Design and develop web-based applications on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, AngularJS, UI, HTML, and CSS; use SQL to for data interactions including data creation, updates, retrieval and deletion; work with SOAP web services and Rest APIsUse Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies; develop and maintain the Treasury Management (TM) Service platform that supports Commercial and Business Banking customersDesign and specify information systems solutions and technical direction in the development of new or existing applications.Serve as principal application designer for major modifications using analytical and technical skills and available technology to evaluate client requirements and processes and provide software and information system solutionsComplete day-to-day support activities and special projects as assigned; conduct technical analysis on and develop custom code for ServiceNow applications and modules; develop ServiceNow design documentation.Perform ServiceNow application configuration; develop and modify ServiceNow workflows, forms, lists, business rules, UI components, web services, tables, and menus; and code and configure interfaces between ServiceNow and other systems.

Education and Experience Required:

Minimum of an Associate’s degree and 5 years’ systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ systems analysis/application development experienceCapable of working on multiple projects of a complex natureExperience developing software using JavaScript, AngularJS, UI, HTML, and CSS; developing applications on the ServiceNow platformExperience using SQL or data interactions including data creation, updates, retrieval and deletion; working with SOAP web services and Rest APIs; and using Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolutionStrong verbal and written communication skills, with prior experience presenting to the target audienceStrong organizational and time management skillsDetail-orientedStrong lateral thinking skillsExperience coordinating between Applications and business unitsExperience recommending and implementing systems solutionsExperience driving project milestones and delivery dates

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $93,581.10 - $155,968.51 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
