HX5 is currently seeking a qualified Software Engineer, Senior in support of the Munitions Sustainment Division at Hill Air Force Base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce architectures which assess users’ needs, document planned and existing systems intended to meet the needs, determine deficiencies, develop alternative solutions, recommend solutions to meet the deficiencies, and support development of a plan to implement the chosen solution Detail operational requirements and functional interactions within the system and with other systems, considering life cycle costs, logistics supportability, human factors, et al, to determine if the basic building blocks of the system are defined in sufficient detail to support a development program effortExperienced with Information Technology (IT) systems, as well as the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software, including familiarity with software Verification and Validation processesExperience working on all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC)Develops, codes, tests, and debugs software and applications using JavaDesigns features and makes improvements based on user experience dataCompletes unit testing to identify and fix programming errorsUses common testing and software documentation toolsWrites software documentation guidesCollaborates with other members of the software development team.Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using scripting languages such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShellImplementing and integrating DevSecOps tool chains for AWS cloudUnderstand, evaluate, and suggest opportunities for modernization of enterprise platform services for Cloud One platform (Jenkins, Artifactory, Trend Micro, etc.)Education and Experience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Business SystemsOR a minimum of five (5) years of Munitions IT experienceDoD 8570 IAT Level II certification as outlined in DoD 8570.01-M; Security+ preferred certificationExperience with munitions supply systems and munitions processesPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
