Bring your whole self. The Role and Team As a Sr Software Engineer of the Medallia Core Collections group, you will play a major role in taking our industry-leading SaaS platform to the next level. You will lead the innovation of our core platform that powers our reporting application. You will design and build highly performant, scalable, and robust backend components for our user facing applications. We are looking for motivated Sr software engineers to join our global team. You will solve challenging technical problems, own your services end-to-end, and help take our Cloud platform to the next level. Candidates for this position are required to reside within the Pune metropolitan area. Relocation support is not available at this time. Responsibilities Ship great software that is scalable and robust and then keep it performant Drive the technical roadmap and definition and help the team prioritize and plan Partner closely with dependent teams across engineering to ensure uninterrupted service Identify gaps in knowledge, tools, and process and work with relevant stakeholders to address the gaps Incorporate best development practices and habits and help build tooling to enforce the same Work in small teams with like minded engineers in an agile environment Become a go-to person for a part or whole of the system Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of commercial industry experience working on complex back-end distributed systems and enterprise grade customer centric software 6+ years of demonstrated experience with Java or C++ (or another high-level object oriented language) Experience with SaaS environments and distributed systems Experience with relational / NoSQL databases Bring an ownership mindset with quality orientation and DevOps experience Agile process experience, ability to work in fast-paced and distributed teams Preferred Qualification BS/MS Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree Expert knowledge of Java 8+ preferred Experience with identifying performance issues and making the appropriate improvements preferred Experience working with a large codebase preferred Experience in working with a distributed team preferred At Medallia, we celebrate diversity and recognize the value it brings to our customers and employees.
