Job Description & Summary

Those in DevSecOps at PwC will focus on minimising software threats by integrating development, operations and security industry leading practices in order to validate secure, consistent and efficient delivery of software and applications. You will work to bridge the gap between these teams for seamless and secure application and software development.

Role Overview:

Experience - 5-7 Years
We are looking for a skilled Azure DevOps Senior Consultant with a focus on site reliability engineering (SRE). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting and optimizing full-stack applications, both monolithic and microservices, and will be adept at ensuring the reliability and availability of services running at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot full-stack applications and infrastructure, including legacy systems, to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify, analyze, and remediate performance and availability issues.
- Balance service reliability with technical debt and operational tasks for live services.
- Implement Azure DevOps solutions, including Terraform,Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Artifacts, AKS.
- Develop and optimize Azure Microservices, including Azure Function Apps and Web Apps, to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Automate release pipelines and deployments, facilitating seamless integration with external and remote services.
- Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS), including troubleshooting performance issues.
- Participate in 24x7x365 monitoring, incident response, and on-call support (SRE Specific).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and rollback strategies.

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience with various Linux distributions.
- Solid expertise in Azure cloud computing technologies and concepts.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Ruby, Java, Perl, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS, VNets, VPCs, subnets, routing, and firewalls.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with DBaaS/Managed Cloud databases such as Azure SQL, MSSQL, MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Experience using Datadog for monitoring and alerting.
- Knowledge of web server technologies, including HTTP, Nginx, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Proficiency in defining and implementing HA, DR, and rollback strategies.
