Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Test Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated tests for our applications. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining tests, using automated test scripts to ensure software performs properly, checking for bugs, and streamlining repetitive tasks. Additionally, you will evaluate and report on the quality of products throughout the production cycle, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) policies and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesBuild a robust test data management and scripting strategy.Invest in collecting appropriate data.Recognize that single data sets will encompass multiple scenarios.Acquire detailed domain knowledge.Design and develop test automation scripts.Use test automation guidelines.Validate test cases across projects to ensure complete test coverage.Manage test environment needs for scripting.Research software issues through testing.Collaborate with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions.Keep updated with the latest industry developments.Integrate with CICD and report for test automation.Essential SkillsAutomation testing engineering experience (3+ years).Excellent understanding of and experience in IT project management methodologies.Commanding knowledge of technical and business issues in areas such as Applications or Infrastructure Architecture, Systems Development, Project or Product Management, and Operations/Production support.Proficiency using at least one Gartner-recognized test management application (e.g., ServiceNow, HP Quality Center, HP ALM, JIRA Xray).Proficiency in programming languages such as C# or similar.Familiarity with tools such as Tosca, Selenium, Appium, and Saucelabs.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).Tosca certification.CTFL and other testing certifications.ISTQB certifications.Test Automation Engineering certification.Work Environment
This position is located in Newark, NJ. Candidates must be within a commutable distance and able to go into the office as needed. The team typically works on-site two or more days per week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
