Software Engineering Intern (Customer Digital Experience) - 2025 Summer Internship
Description and Requirements Healthfirst’s 2025 Summer Trailblazer Internship is a 10-week paid program beginning on June 2, 2025. This is an immersive and interactive learning experience, that lays a foundation for continued leadership development. Interns do impactful work, collaborating with other interns, employees, and business leaders to solve current business problems and deliver solutions. We helped pioneer the value-based healthcare model—where hospitals and physicians are paid based on patient outcomes—because our company was founded on the belief that insurers need to be true partners in the health system.

Duties & Responsibilities:  

Operate with intellectual curiosity and critically assess existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement  Hold oneself accountable for the accuracy, completeness, quality, and relevance of deliverables to own responsibility for work product  Exhibit collaborative attitude, willingness to work with others on features that included working team(s) made of cross departmental/interdisciplinary users  Additional duties as assigned 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Passion for solving challenging problems using technology  Possess technical curiosity and the desire to learn new things quickly  Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail  Ability to work in teams and build good working relationships  Excellent interpersonal skills and follow- up skills  Experience with object-oriented programming and ability to learn new programming languages  Very strong verbal and written communication skills required  Ability to work independently and as part of a team  Familiarity with React and Python  Basic understanding of AWS Students must enrolled at an accredited institution Will not require sponsorship for employment  Eligible to work in the U.S. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school 

Hiring Range*:

Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $39,208 - $52,000

All Other Locations (within approved locations): $34,091 - $49,920

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
