Position Overview:

The Software Engineering Manager leads a team responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering our next-generation marketing automation ecosystem. This leader will head a development team focused on leveraging data to drive AI and tool development for our next-generation marketing automations. The role centers on managing, mentoring, and coaching the team to ensure successful and timely project delivery. The ideal candidate possesses a strong engineering background in modern cloud-based data platforms, proven experience managing small teams, extensive Agile experience, and a comprehensive understanding of the entire software development lifecycle. Experience in marketing automation and artificial intelligence is a significant advantage. This manager will collaborate directly with product owners and stakeholders to deliver innovative marketing features and functionality.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide teams with strong technical leadership, ensuring a balance between immediate impact and long-term architectural alignment.Define non-functional requirements and analyze all requirements for design feasibility within budgetary and time constraints.Accurately estimate software development timelines, proactively managing risks and evolving requirements to ensure accountability.Effectively communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with other development teams and organizational leadership to deliver impactful business solutions.Develop and clearly communicate a regular roadmap to manage expectations with product owners and key stakeholders.Regularly report on progress using data-driven insights.Delegate tasks appropriately to the development team while maintaining a suitable workload for personal contribution.Continuously improve agile software engineering processes and practices.Proactively identify and mitigate technical debt.

Skills and Abilities:

Extensive cloud-native development expertise especially with AWS services.Knowledge and experience using AI frameworks and models like Amazon Bedrock.Complete knowledge of agile software development lifecycles – specifications, documentation, engineering, security, unit test/QA, continuous delivery, maintenance, etc.Takes a hands-on approach, works day to day with engineering teams in daily standups, sprint grooming and planning meetingsPartners with business analyst to ensure user stories are thoughtfully planned and groomed for engineering teams to act onAble to lead a small team, providing direction, coaching and regular feedbackSetting results-oriented, measurable targets and metrics as key drivers in decision-making processesLooking for a leader that brings a hands on technical approcah by demonstrating both design and coding expertise. Minimum qualifications:

Proven work experience working with AWS services.Vast experience working with data, especially in a marketing context.People management experience, directing the day-to-day activities of 3-5 engineersDeep technical understanding and informed opinions on cloud-native development, programming languages, and automattion frameworks.Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-functional environment, including coordination of standard methodologies with other business and technical units, and alignment to architectural standards and policy mandates of the larger organization

Preferred qualifications:

Has worked on automation for sales or marketing divisions.Has worked within an agile methodology across a large, distributed software development organizationCan handle ambiguity, drive consensus, communicate well with both technical and non-technical audiences

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $151,300 to $272,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
