Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Software/Hardware Quality Assurance individual in the aerospace industry, based in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves monitoring every phase of the software development process, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining quality of software development for airborne systems. Responsibilities: • Overseeing the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and verification to ensure adherence to DO-178C guidance and military standards. • Actively participating in software process auditing, handling technical requirements, program risks, and delivery schedules. • Collaborating with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers. • Reviewing and approving systems, software, and test equipment requirements, design, and test documentation for compliance with process requirements and standards. • Participating in the software change control process boards. • Working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to support technical issues related to software quality. • Conducting reviews and formal and informal audits to suppliers during software and hardware development. • Expanding knowledge through research, training, and hands-on experience. • Verifying the development process of embedded software/hardware. • Demonstrating basic understanding of audit techniques along with the software development process. Requirements • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders • Proficiency in documentation for maintaining accurate records of quality assurance activities • Ability to provide training to team members on quality assurance processes and procedures • Strong understanding of compliance in the aerospace industry, and ability to ensure it in software/hardware design and implementation • Research skills to stay updated with the latest quality assurance trends and standards in the aerospace industry • Experience in reviewing and improving quality of software/hardware design and implementation • Proficiency in auditing software/hardware quality, and making necessary improvements • Engineering background, preferably in aerospace • Willingness to travel as and when required for quality assurance purposes • Understanding of financial notes and their impact on software/hardware quality • Proficiency in Python for coding and quality assurance purposes • Familiarity with different quality assurance methods and monitoring tools • Experience in dealing with suppliers for quality assurance purposes • Ability to verify software/hardware quality against specified standards • Deep understanding of quality assurance specifications in the aerospace industry • Experience in compliance functions and ensuring compliance in software/hardware design and implementation • Proficiency in change management to ensure seamless implementation of quality assurance processes.
