Mission of the Position

 

Works with the Software and HIL testing group assisting with projects on all different levels throughout the co-op program.

 

Team Summary:

 

The Software and HIL testing group is responsible for the design and development of validation documentation, software, SIL models, HIL Models, test scripts and components. They work from broad specifications, the engineer not only performs, but is responsible for guiding engineering activities. Independently plans, designs and carries out work assignments and often serves as a technical authority.
 

Key Responsibilities

 

Support and Develop a Web Application using Industry Standard Technologies such as JavaScript, MongoDB and Angular. Assist with the design, development and problem resolution of new and existing software, SIL models, HIL Models, test scripts and components for powertrain, and chassis products. Help conduct research, new tools, best practices and alternative approaches to optimal software development. Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (TS 16949). Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications

 

Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly required. Enrolled in an engineering program with an accredited school.  Understand the basics of engineering theory and principles of design. Working knowledge in computer based software, organizational/communication skills, ability to work with others in a team environment.
  Work Environment

 

Office Environment. 


While working in this environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes, and various levels of temperature created by manufacturing processes.
