The watchOS System Experience group is responsible for the system behavior, frameworks, and components that are at the heart of watchOS—and on which all Apple Watch apps depend. As the manager of the watchOS System Experience Screening, Integration, and Testing team, you and your team will play a critical role in the lifecycle of this core software. If you’re curious, like solving puzzles, are always thinking about how to make tools and processes better, and want to work on a product that makes a meaningful difference in the health, fitness, and productivity of millions of people around the globe, read on! **Description** You will lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team to screen—categorize, analyze, and prioritize—a high volume of bug reports; integrate software changes across various components; coordinate pre-submission testing to validate features and fixes and prevent regressions; and submit those well-tested changes to the proper build trains. This work requires close collaboration with the engineers and other managers in the System Experience group and with development, QA, tools, and build engineers across Apple. You’ll look for opportunities to improve tooling, automate log analysis and other processes, and measure what matters to make sure your team and the entire Watch Software organization can stay focused on the right things to produce high-quality software that our customers will love. **Minimum Qualifications** + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals gained through experience or study (a specific degree or concentration is not required) + Strong understanding of and experience with the software development and testing lifecycle + Consistent record of leading multi-functional efforts to ship quality software **Key Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + Critical problem solving skills with attention to the details and nuance of complex issues + Ability to encourage, mentor, train, and develop team members to deliver high quality software + Experience adapting to challenges, providing support, and leading by example in a constantly changing environment + iOS development experience, ideally with Swift + Experience with Python or other scripting languages **Education & Experience** **Additional Requirements** **Pay & Benefits** + At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
