Software Integration & Release Lead

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a significant software development background to lead a large scale (500+ resources, $100m+ revenue) software and hardware delivery program. The Software Integration & Release Lead is responsible for every aspect of software release, works across multiple teams, internal and external to orchestrate coherent integration and works with the customers. In your daily job you will:

Lead all continuous Software Release activities for internal Cadence and customer milestones.Procure Part numbers for builds and maintain release plan and ensure releases happen as planned.Assist Software Project Manager with any blockers related to software releases, systemic issues, process issues, customer issues, plant issues.Drive any issues to closure that are affecting customer or internal releases.Device branching strategy and release versioning updates as needed.Drive feature integration and sprint check-ins by setting sprint deadlines.Ensure Aptiv’s software integration and release processes are followed Analyze Coverity and Compiler warnings at End of Sprint and drive Scrum teams towards resolution.Attend/ drive problem ticket resolution meetings.Assist in producing release documentation for customer software delivery.Assist software architectural and design decisions.Review software changes through Change Control Board Review.Approve and release software to manufacturing plants.Drive any failures related to build/ smoke test/ integration tests to resolution.Assist any HIL system bench discrepancies and test steps and design Work on HIL when needed to procure CPU load, Timing traces using Power Debugger, Systemic verification, Feature verification, Test package verification, etc.Lead any updates to CI/ CD system without any outages to the project releases Support and drive Automation into release process for Smoke Test/ Integration tests/ build environment/ systems checkout/ qualification tests/ Unit tests.Apply timely SIP integration/ MCAL changes to the software to prevent  any roadblocks to development work.Monitor Program backlog whenever needed.Act as backup for SW release managers, Project owners, Program owners as requested.Lead technical and project delivery discussions with customer whenever needed.Assist with debugging Support peer review of work products such as process design and strategy documents, release documents, integration tasks, software delivery schedules etc.Work on initial Board Bring-up activities working with respective scrum teams Work with Product Owners/ Scrum Masters/ System Leads/ SW Engineers/ Build Manager/ Hardware team/ Manufacturing/ Test Team/  and program team on a daily basis to achieve project goals.

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

Bachelor’s degree or bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Science with relevant years of experience (MSc preferred).5+ years of embedded software development and delivery.AutoSAR and HIL experience • Good communication skills (both spoken and written).Knowledge in electronics and automotive applications.Professional experience in software development process.
