Exciting Software Manager Role Supporting the Gas Industry!!!


Job Description

This role supports a new business line. The client currently does not have any in-house Software Engineers, as this work was previously outsourced. They are looking to build an internal software team. This position will lead, create, and build the software department and eventually mentor a Junior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

•\tDesign and develop documentation

•\tRevise strategies for software sales modeling

•\tEvaluate industry databases to determine the best plan of action for internal database development

•\tCreate a comprehensive business plan for the software department

•\tManage recruitment for department, including reviewing resumes and hiring a Software Engineer who will report directly to you

•\tOversee and manage the creation of the software department

•\tLead database creation efforts

•\tModify existing Android apps for current machines and products

•\tDevelop GUI and front-end solutions

•\tFull stack development

•\tIncorporate AI and machine learning techniques.

Essential Skills10+ years of combined experience in Software Engineering and Management with a strong focus on database building.Proficiency in GUI development.Full stack development expertise.Knowledge and experience in AI and machine learning.Work Environment

This position is primarily on-site at a brand new office in Akron, with possible remote flexibility. The office space is dog-friendly. Initially, this person will be the only Software Engineer, with plans to add another Software Engineer next year, whom this person will mentor. The role is not customer-facing, making it ideal for someone who prefers not to interact with customers daily

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $72.00
