Software Manager
Description This role will be responsible for supervising and developing a team of software engineers on activities and the completion of the activities on time and budget. The software group is responsible for the design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems. The position must also have the ability to complete a technical project independently and to mentor and/or coach other engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with software that runs on hardware. Skills Embedded software, software management, embedded development, C++, Linux, Embedded c, C#, java, software development, management skills, embedded system, unix Top Skills Details Embedded software,software management,embedded development Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Demonstrated people and technical leadership capabilities • Experience working on software that runs on hardware • Proven Computer Science fundamentals in embedded development, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis • Experience in one of the following: C, C++, C# and/or Java • Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers • Experience influencing software engineering best practices within the team • Excellent analytical and communication skills, written and verbal • Strong mentor of peers and subordinates • Experience with Linux/Unix is preferred • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is required Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $170000.00 The Schedule with be a Hybrid work schedule and work a 9/80 ScheduleYou will be leading a team of at least 6 software engineers.
