Job Description
Seeking a candidate to lead, create, and build an internal Software department. The company currently outsources this work but aims to establish a robust in-house team. This role involves mentoring a Junior Software Engineer in the future.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop documentationRevise strategies for software sales modelingEvaluate industry databases to determine the best plan of action for internal database developmentCreate a comprehensive business plan for the software departmentManage recruitment for the department, including reviewing resumes and hiring a Software Engineer who will report directly to youOversee and manage the creation of the software departmentLead database creation effortsModify existing Android apps for current machines and productsDevelop GUI and front-end solutionsFull stack developmentIncorporate AI and machine learning techniquesEssential SkillsExperience in managing a software company/department or in creating business models/plans for selling softwareOver 10 years of experience in Software Engineering with a strong emphasis on database buildingProficiency in full stack developmentExpertise in AI / machine learningAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with GUI developmentExperience in modifying Android appsWork Environment
Preference is 100% onsite with some potential remote flexibility. The office is located in a brand new building in Akron. The environment is dog-friendly, providing a relaxed and enjoyable workspace. This is NOT a customer-interfacing role, making it ideal for someone who prefers limited customer interaction. The company is consistently growing and offers a dynamic and innovative atmosphere.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $72.00
