Software Product Manager
The Mission of this Role:

To lead the development efforts, negotiate with product owners and customers to ensure the deliverables are aligned with the expectations. Establish tactical plans to improve any impediments for project execution, managing team’s capacity and capability to deliver. Responsible for addressing any cross-team dependencies and helps to coordinate with the team to keep dependencies in sync for successful project delivery.

Scope:

Responsible for designing and developing project plans by prioritizing project objectives and deliverable timelines, managing resource allocations and setting clear targets for delivery. Ensures that the projects are tracked and progressed as per the plan by eliminating risks, escalating issues and ensuring quality standards are met and followed.

Design and develop project plans

Prioritizes multiple project objectives and delivery timelines in alignment with the tech leads. Prioritizes and manages work with scrum teams for ongoing projects.

Ensure proper resource allocation for all current and upcoming activities by working with the Scrum tech lead.

 

Ensures that project plans are set clearly for delivery, plans are made visible and up to date at any point in time.

Execution and tracking of the project plan

Tracks the progress of multiple projects within scrum teams or across the business.

Monitors resource utilization across projects, identifying areas of synergy or redundancy. Manages the commitment and simplifies the features at each stage.

Leads delivery excellence efforts in line with QCD (quality, cost and delivery) norms for the scope of the scrum team.

 

Ensures process documents / artefacts are maintained and continuously improved (by analysing systemic issues) to enable efficient execution.

Prepares burn down charts and applicable metrics dashboards, reviews them with the scrum team for progress.

Identifies and eliminates any risks/issues that would prevent the team from achieving their sprint goals.

Key Experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred) 8+ years of experience in managing projects Experience with cost management systems Project management (PMP) Certification Agile Certified Profession (ACP), Scrum Master and Lean certifications AUTOSPICE experience
