Key objectives of this Role:

Create and manage software Feature Implementation Plan with product level plan. Create and maintain the Software Product Backlog. Manage external and internal change requests through software backlog items. Prioritize and sequence the software backlog items according to product level timing plan. Ensure stories are made clear to the scrum team and requirements related impediments are resolved on time in coordination with systems requirements team. Support Project Leads to define lower-level sprint plans in alignment with project level plans. In Sprint Planning meetings, conveys vision, prioritization, and expectations towards defining sprint goals & Definition of Done (DOD). In Daily Stand-ups (optional), observes sprint progress and provides inputs that may be vital to the sprint execution. In Retrospective meetings, provides feedback on improvements for the upcoming sprints. Adjusts the course of the software project at the end of every Sprint when product level priorities change. Perform Sprint Review and verify the planned goals are achieved. Provides software readiness and project’s progress updates to Program Team. Work closely with product management, and customer leaders. Manage SW work package estimation. Perform Monthly budget review and productivity measurement of SW resources. Defect Management Process is the Key aspect of this role.

Key Performance Indicators:

Sprint Performance: Sprint performance (SP) > 85% of planned vs. actual completion of work items. Defect Containment: All defects should have a plan to be contained within major milestones.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in Computer, Electronics Communication Engineering or mechatronics or equivalent. 5+ years of proven experience in similar positions. Experience with Linux or RTOS (real time operating systems) and associated development toolchains

Reporting Structure: The Software Product Owner will report to the Director, Software Engineering
