Software QA Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * The Opportunity: CACI has an immediate need for a skilled Software QA Engineer to support our Client in Springfield, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining a robust automated testing infrastructure for our full-stack web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of software engineering principles, test automation frameworks, and CI/CD processes. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader, implementing and mentoring other QA engineers and consulting with developers on effective testing strategies across all levels of the testing pyramid. Responsibilities: •     Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive automated test suite, including unit, integration, API, and UI tests for full-stack web applications •     Troubleshoot and debug failing automated tests across all levels (unit, integration, API, UI) •     Architect and integrate a scalable and maintainable automated testing infrastructure with our CI/CD pipeline •     Collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners to understand requirements and develop test plans and procedures •     Establish, communicate, and track meaningful quality assurance standards and measurements of success for the test suite •     Participate in code reviews for application code to ensure test code quality, best practices, and consult developers on effective testing strategies •     Lead code reviews for both test automation code and application code to ensure quality and testability •     Mentor and train other QA engineers in test automation techniques, tools, and best practices •     Contribute to the development of Agile testing standards, strategies, and documentation Qualifications: •     Active and current Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility and able to obtain/maintain a CI Polygraph •     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field •     5+ years of experience in software development and test automation •     Strong proficiency in at least one programming language suitable for test automation (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java) •     Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Selenium, Playwright) •     Extensive experience of API testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured) •     Deep understanding of version control and CI/CD concepts and best practices, particularly with GitLab •     Experience with agile development and scrum methodologies •     Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills •     Experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices in a team setting Desired: •     Experience with MarkLogic database systems •     Familiarity with Angular framework and Node.js/Express.js •     Knowledge of UI/UX testing principles and best practices •     Experience with performance and load testing tools •     Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) •     Understanding of security testing principles and tools •     Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CAST) •     Certifications in the Scaled Agile Framework (e.g., SA) - _____________________________________________________________________________ **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
