ValidaTek is seeking a talented Software/QA Tester to join our software development team in support of one of our Defense Customers. The ideal candidate will have technical experience testing software capability. The Software/QA Tester will analyze and study complex system requirements. Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analysis, and manages their implementation. Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Estimate software development costs and schedule. Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques. Supervise software configuration management.

Responsibilities Supports, maintains, and documents software functionalityWrites test scripts and utilizes automation technologies ie: SeleniumAnalyzes code to find causes of errors and revise programs as neededParticipates in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirementsWrites technical specifications based on design and business requirements Qualifications Active DoD Secret clearanceMust be able to work onsite 2 - 3 days per weekBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experienceAt least 3 years of experience testing software development in .Net FrameworkExperience using C# in .NET Framework, and Entity Framework (EF)Must have automation experience utilizing technologies such as: SeleniumExperience in agile processesExperience in utilizing CI/CD Pipelines such as Jenkins or TFSExperience implementing REST Web servicesExperience with asynchronous programming and multi-threaded applications - preferredUnderstanding of XML, JSON and serializationExperience using automated testing tools such as MSUnit, NUnit,Familiarity with container platforms such as Docker

Salary Disclosure Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.
