Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Description We are inviting applications for the role of a Software Quality Assurance Analyst in our team, based out of WESTLAKE, Ohio. The role involves working within the IT organization to maintain quality assurance standards and measures. The analyst will be instrumental in supporting all areas of testing including functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end acceptance testing. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of the software. • Conduct system and application testing to ensure functionality and compliance with standards. • Perform manual backend testing to verify functionality according to requirements. • Maintain accurate testing documentation including test cases, defect logging, and reporting. • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to understand requirements, manage planning and scheduling of testing efforts, and communicate testing progress to stakeholders and management. • Support internal and external stakeholders with user acceptance testing and/or integration testing. • Promote quality assurance best practices across the project team. • Support testing needs of key initiatives, or special projects, as they arise. • Work closely with QA team members to identify, design, or enhance areas where testing efforts could be reduced through automation or tool creation. • Design, execute and maintain testing deliverables including testing approaches, test cases, test scripts, and test result summaries utilizing industry best practices. Requirements • Proficiency in Development Testing methodologies and tools • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database management • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies • Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) • Ability to perform detailed analysis of business processes and requirements to produce custom solutions • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field • Prior experience in a Software Quality Assurance role is preferred • Knowledge of automated testing tools and best practices is a plus • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently and prioritize effectively • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality software products.
