**Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester, Journeyman/Junior**
Amentum, a large government contract company, is seeking a full-time Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester, Journeyman/Junior, for the RMAC program, located in California, Maryland. This is a full-time position supporting
**REQUIREMENTS / RESPONSIBILTIES**
+ Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.
+ Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
+ Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers.
+ Create and maintain databases of known defects.
+ May participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules.
+ Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate government owned software system.
+ Perform software updates, troubleshooting, hardware configuration, system security, and basic system maintenance.
+ Communicate regularly with the Program/Regional Manager to report on operations and resolve any outstanding issues.
+ Oversee the completion of all required documentation, both manual and electronic, Ensure that all safety, quality, and procedure compliance requirements are met in the performance of duties.
+ Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring that all quality assurance requirements are met effectively and efficiently.
+ Because of extensive knowledge of the system may perform duties as a trainer.
+ Travel up to 50% of the time.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Minimum Bachelors Degree required in computer science or programming.
+ Minimum of two years of experience in computer science or programming roles.
+ Military or Department of Defense experience strongly preferred.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations.
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with military personnel, contractors, and customers.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary facilities credentials/authorization. (U.S. citizenship required.)
**WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
+ Climate-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
+ Regularly required to use hands, talk, and hear. Frequently required to walk and sit. Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
