Software Test Engineer Job Number: 352973 Category: -Software & Systems SBU Description: A 2nd shift Software Lab Test Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor Locks, CT with one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a BS Degree in Engineering and 0 - 5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer, supporting DO-178 compliance testing within a collaborative and experienced engineering team. This role involves assisting in the validation and verification of embedded software for safety-critical aerospace applications, adhering to DO-178 guidelines. The Junior Engineer will work closely with senior engineers to learn and contribute to testing processes, documentation, and issue tracking. This position is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level engineer to build a foundational understanding of aerospace compliance and testing requirements. Job duties: * Execute testing procedures under the guidance of experienced team members to ensure compliance with DO-178 standards. * Record and report test results, flagging any inconsistencies or software anomalies. * Participate in team meetings to review test protocols, test status, and system requirements. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor"s degree in software engineering or electrical engineering. * Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required.
