Software Test Engineer - Aurora, OH - Onsite

We are hiring an entry-junior level Software Test Engineer to support automation testing for code going into power distribution products. The selected candidate can sit out of the Aurora, OH or Streetsboro, OH sites.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scriptsPerform functional, regression, performance, and usability testingIdentify, record, and track defectsAnalyze testing results and provide suggestions to improve software qualityAutomate testing processes using appropriate tools and frameworks (90% automated, 10% manual currently)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field; preferably with GPA of 3.2 or higher0-4 years of professional experience. If entry level, must have relevant software testing internship/co-op experience.Proven experience in software testing with a solid understanding of testing methodologiesFamiliarity with test automation tools (Selenium, Pytest)Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Trac, Bugzilla)

Plus:

Knowledge of multiple programming languages (Javascript, Python, C++)Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.About Actalent
