Job Description
Join our Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications program, which is integral to the Missile Defense System. This program enables strategic planning and dynamic management of networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. As a Software Test Engineer, you will support a layered missile defense capability, optimizing responses to threats and contributing to system ground and flight tests that verify current and future capabilities.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in software design and peer reviews.Develop test specifications and infrastructure.Execute manual and automated tests.Perform analysis of system implementation in an integrated environment.Test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations such as internal messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, and failover processing.Coordinate lab resources, test results, and verification status with the program and customers.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in STEM; Master's degree is highly desired.Experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in various test environments.Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies.Strong self-starter capable of diving into problems with assistance from other engineers and developers.Experience using DoD test methodologies, functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution.Experience with planning and execution of test data collection, and test data analysis and reporting.Analysis experience involving characterization of system, software, or component performance using quantitative methods.Experience with Matlab, Java, Git, Eclipse, Unix, and Linux.Active Secret Clearance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $83.00
