Precise Systems is seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team. As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. We are looking for an individual who can bring a depth of experience to our team and contribute to our long-term projects, with a job duration extending beyond one year. Travel requirements for this role are negligible, allowing you to focus on the task at hand without significant time away from the office. Duties:
Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes. You will collaborate with software developers and project support teams to ensure that our software is free of defects. You will be responsible for creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, as well as tracking quality assurance metrics. Additionally, you will review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts. Your role will also involve staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, and participating in the design and development of our products to provide input on potential quality issues.Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in technology or computer scienceRequired Experience:
5+ years experience as it relates to the job description Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
