Job Description
Perform duties of testing and verification of system functionality through functional and regression testing of systems. Systems are both hardware and software-based and include complex, high-reliability components. Primary testing is of software performance on embedded systems through pre-programmed inputs. Results and interactions are recorded and documented according to established processes. Perform testing plans and procedures created by the engineering team for signal recording electronics hardware products. Work with a small, multidisciplinary team of engineers in the testing efforts. Engage in product development efforts for modification and new design testing. Document all results from tests diligently in the internal system for tracking test results.
ResponsibilitiesHardware preparation and checkoutPre-ship procedureRegression testing using pre-set test stand/rigCustomer request problem replicationBackup verificationNetwork and resource inventoryEssential SkillsHardware Quality Assurance Technician skills - following test plans/protocols for each piece of hardware and working through a Windows-based GUI application to test hardware interaction for embedded systems.Experience with troubleshooting and documentation of testing for digital hardware.Familiarity with test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, signal generators, etc. (experience is not required and can be taught)Detail-oriented technician who can follow semi-complex test plans and document test results according to SOPsSoftware testingHardware/software integrationAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (preferred but not required)0-5 years of experienceKnowledge of basics of scripting/batch scripting (a plus but not required)Knowledge of hardware interfaces and basics of network engineering and protocols (a plus but not required)Experience and knowledge in electronics and electronics troubleshooting (a plus but not required)Experience in a product development environmentOpen to personal development and growth within an organizationDetail-oriented, driven, and action-orientedWork Environment
Smaller team environment. Office consists of 30 people, with a mix of engineering and production spaces. Collaborative and supportive atmosphere aimed at skill development and professional growth.
