Software Test Technician

The autonomous test engineer will be responsible for helping create and maintain an automated test environment for HVAC equipment that will be used to test controls functionality in virtual geographic environments. This role requires the ability to work effectively with HVAC hardware and software development, software test and product

development.

This role also requires the ability to analyze HVAC data using different data analysis tools.Experience in HVAC applications is welcomed and preferred and will help resource to be successful.This role will be 80%-90% manual testing and 20% Automated testing. The team is moving towards automation testing so please make sure that your candidates are ok with manual testing.This team works on the Residential side, building software development on thermostats.

Key Competencies:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline OR Associates degree.Verbal and written communication skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.Ability to work independently, follow procedure steps, and document defects.Ability to maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines.Ability to work with, mentor, and lead other test resources.Ability to think \"outside of the box\" to offer creative solutions to problems.Experience with dynamic software/electro-mechanical systems.Build, test, and deploy supporting test systems.90% validation SW testing and some HW testing 10%-15%.Knowledge of different test methodologies, tools, and practices.Knowledge of software automation to include scripting, debugging, execution, and analysis.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00
