Job DescriptionThe Software Testing Lead will manage the implementation of various testing methodologies and tools for our enterprise applications. This role requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, automation tools, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products and a proven track record of managing testing projects, developing test strategies, and leading teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Plan, organize, and execute the testing roadmap including the implementation of various testing tools.Provide oversight on technical design and development decisions related to testing.Lead a team of testers and off-shore contractors to deliver high-quality testing solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on business objectives and priorities.Manage a dotted line reporting structure for the testing team within IT and business functions.Test Strategy and Planning:
Lead the testing efforts, develop TOSCA automated test scripts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.Define the process and steps involved in the development of Tosca test cases, from creating the test scenarios, recording the test cases, implementation, and finally executing them against various test environments.Test Management and Integration:
Oversee the integration and management of test cases and test data using various testing tools.Ensure test accuracy, consistency, and availability for analysis.Develop and maintain test governance policies and procedures.Testing and Insights:
Lead the development of advanced testing platforms to identify defects, opportunities, and risks.Develop and implement testing strategies to support functional business goals.Identify and evaluate new testing tools and technologies to enhance testing capabilities.Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.Performance Measurement:
Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of testing initiatives.Monitor and report on the impact of testing on business performance.Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.Defect Management:
Manage the defect lifecycle, including logging, tracking, and resolving defects.Automation:
Familiarity with automation technologies and tools, particularly Tricentis Tosca, ECT, and Change Impact Analysis testing tools.Experience leveraging automation technologies to reduce manual work from testing processes and streamline operations.Collaboration with Development Teams:
Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes and tools.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.Required Experience:
7+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.3+ years of experience as a QA Lead with expertise in TOSCA (Tricentis) automation.Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.Hands-on experience with TOSCA automation tools and frameworks.Proficiency in Tosca scripting languages (JavaScript, TSL, Python).Expertise in Web, API, and database testing using Tosca.Experience integrating Jira with Tosca for automated bug reporting.Familiarity with generating test reports and customer reporting options.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience leading and mentoring teams.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and advanced testing techniques.Familiarity with data warehousing and big data technologies.Understanding of systems security best practices and data privacy laws.Ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.Provide data and reporting of KPIs and trends to IT Management and others.Review and maintain daily staff utilization.Strong customer service orientation.Preferred:
