Job Title: Software Validation Engineer

Job Description

The Validation & Verification (V&V) Engineer will be an integral part of the product test team, supporting a software product for the medical device industry. The role involves installing software in a Windows environment, configuring Windows, and servicing the computer. The engineer will create test cases based on design requirements, perform system-level validation and verification test cases, including dry runs and executing formal test cases that they may or may not have written. The candidate should be adept at identifying and isolating defects, writing effective test cases, and ensuring repeatable results. This role is 100% onsite in Madison, WI.

ResponsibilitiesInstall and configure software in a Windows environment.Service the computer and ensure proper functioning.Create test cases based on design requirements.Perform system-level validation and verification test cases, including dry runs.Execute formal test cases, including those not written by the engineer.Identify and isolate defects effectively.Ensure test cases produce repeatable and reliable results.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering3+ years of experience with creating and editing test plans3+ years of experience with test execution3+ years of experience with Java applications3+ years of experience with isolating issues and problem-solving
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $45.67/hr.
