Solar Installer Lead
**Job Title: Solar Installer Lead** **Job Description** We are looking for Lead Solar Technicians with over 5 years of experience in the commercial or utility-scale solar sector for a portfolio of projects in Upstate NY. Candidates will work directly with the project manager and will be responsible for managing small crews. The main purpose of the lead solar technician is to install and build various electrical and mechanical systems and components for solar farms. This role requires travel and work on active construction sites. **Responsibilities** + Supervise and lead a team of solar installers on commercial projects. + Plan and coordinate daily work activities to ensure project timelines are met. + Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. + Conduct site assessments and prepare project plans. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during installation. + Maintain accurate records of project progress and report to project managers. + Train and mentor junior installers. + Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and used properly. + Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in electrical or mechanical scope work in solar. + Experience as a foreman or crew lead in commercial solar. + Willingness to travel. + OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. + Familiarity with Arc rated and Electrical protection PPE, Energized work practices, NFPA 70e standards for working on or near Energized Electrical equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + NFPA 70E certification (preferred but not required). + Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, non-DOT Physical, and Motor Vehicle Records Check. **Why Work Here?** They are a rapidly growing company providing long-term employment for solar contractors. The company is small, fast-moving, and offers a dynamic work environment. **Work Environment** The work site is outdoors and can be muddy and wet, requiring candidates to be prepared to work in all weather conditions. Candidates will report to the work site trailer in the morning to get their task for the day, working on small teams and independently. The typical shift is Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Candidates must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays when required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of South Burlington, Vermont. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
