Solar Project Developer (Community Solar Projects) - Remote with travel

We are seeking a skilled Solar Project Developer to join our team, focusing on community solar rooftop projects. This role emphasizes project management and technical coordination over business development or sales. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in solar project development with the willingness to travel regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Oversee the development of identified community solar rooftop projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Technical Coordination: Work closely with technical teams to design and implement efficient solar energy systems.Permitting & Compliance: Secure necessary permits and ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources.Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure necessary materials and services.Installation Oversight: Supervise the installation and commissioning of solar systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, permits, and compliance records.Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Project Management).Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar project development, with a focus on rooftop solar projects.Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and a strong understanding of solar energy systems.Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP) are a plus.Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Compensation:
