Solar Project Engineer We are seeking a Project Engineer to support solar farm design and construction. You will manage 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects, from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning. This role requires continuous coordination with diverse project stakeholders such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers for both early-stage and construction phases. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems, along with thorough knowledge of various engineering disciplines including electrical, structural, civil, and materials. This is an exciting opportunity to support a major utility on solar projects across the US working hybrid out of the office in Juno Beach, FL. Responsibilities + Manage 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects. + Coordinate with diverse project stakeholders including environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers. + Apply value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems. + Make decisions and recommendations impacting extensive engineering and related activities. + Negotiate critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers from other organizations and companies. + Successfully manage schedules and budgets for major capital projects. Essential Skills + Bachelor of Science in Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, chemical, etc.) + Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and project management. + Experience in utility-scale solar projects or related fields such as DG/commercial solar, wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, and transmission. + Experience managing internal or external engineering resources on projects. + Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. + Self-starter, eager to learn, and passionate about the industry.
