Solar Technician – Site Lead
Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Solar Technician Site Lead to join our project in El Campo, TX. Site Lead technicians are Renewable Energy Technicians who carry the same responsibilities as solar technicians but also are specifically assigned a group of (utility) assets. They hold extensive familiarity with their designated sites and are considered the subject matter expert on all things relating to those facilities.
What will do you as the Solar Technician Site Lead?
Perform all duties of a Renewable Energy Technician in an exemplary fashionConducts self in a professional manner with internal team members and customersProvide up to date information to Asset Managers with regards to their sitesMaintain facility buildings in a well-kept and organized mannerManage site inventory and procurementProvide site safety training, orientation, and tours for clients where necessaryLead/assist in PMs, maintaining schedule and keeping up to date on PM statusManaging jobs, material procurement, and third-party contractorsParticipation in weekend on-call and various hours of work resulting in overtime throughout peak production season Complete general reporting and documentation of all work performed daily, provide detailed summaries of large jobs to Asset ManagerPerforms other duties as assignedSpark Power Employee Benefits and Perks:

Ownership/accountability of your sitesKeep the sites looking clean and tidy – buildings, vegetation, fences, gates, roads, etc.Ensure spare parts inventory is organized, up to date, and able to pull from quicklyOwnership of site health and safety including signs, PPE, and documentation Able to tour around owners/guests as necessary and able to speak to any on-going issues or concernsDetailed understanding of the technical aspects:Energization/de-energization proceduresLock-out, tag out plansOperations of site-specific PLCs and controlsUnderstanding and access to latest drawingsSupport troubleshooting on all equipment and push to maximize performance/productionManagement of all preventive maintenance activitiesBi-weekly / monthly inspections to be completed by you such that you can ensure small jobs are cleaned up over time / can pick up where you left offInvolved in all major PMs i.e. inverters, combiners, helio, substation shutdownsAware of all correctives (you may not always be available to fix everything, but you should request to be brought up to speed and have access to the report)Who is Spark Power?
