**Job Title: Solder Technician** **Responsibilities** + Read work sheets and verbal instructions to determine assembly duties. + Select components such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits. + Twist, bend, trim, strip, or file wire leads of components. + Ream holes in boards to insert wire leads. + Insert color-coded wires into designated holes and clinch wire ends. + Press-fit (mount) component leads into boards. + Place plastic isolating sleeves around specified wire leads and shrink sleeves into place. + Crimp wire leads on the underside of the board. + Apply sealer or masking compound to selected parts of the boards. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in soldering, assembling, and working with PCB. + Knowledge and experience with IPC-610, J-STD, and MIL-SPEC standards. + Experience with thru-hole and SMT soldering techniques. + Ability to perform point-to-point soldering and assembly.
