**Job Title: Soldering Technician** **Job Description** Candidates will be soldering small circuit boards used in sensors and relay switches for various industries. These components are very small and some require the need to use a magnifying glass. They will be using work instructions and some wiring diagrams to ensure proper placement of wires. This position will require both Surface Mount and Through Hole soldering on boards. Candidates will be required to take a soldering test including a through hole test and a surface mount test. This is not a pass/fail but it will determine what area they may fit into. **Responsibilities** + Solder small circuit boards used in sensors and relay switches. + Utilize a magnifying glass for precision work on small components. + Follow work instructions and wiring diagrams to ensure proper placement of wires. + Perform both Surface Mount and Through Hole soldering on boards. + Take a soldering test to determine fit for specific areas. **Essential Skills** + At least 2 years of experience in soldering, either Surface Mount or Through Hole. + Ability to work on very small components that require magnification. + Ability to read and interpret work instructions and wiring diagrams. + High school diploma or GED. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Formal training or on-the-job training in soldering. + Experience with electronic assembly and small components. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and development. The facility is air-conditioned and you will work at a desk while sitting. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
