Key responsibilities of an IBP Demand Planner: Data Management: Gather and cleanse historical sales data, promotional information, market trends, customer orders, and other relevant data sources to feed into the IBP system. Forecast Modeling: Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models within IBP, incorporating various forecasting techniques like moving average, exponential smoothing, and seasonal adjustments to generate accurate demand predictions. Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather insights, incorporate market intelligence, and align demand forecasts with business strategies. Demand Sensing: Monitor real-time demand signals like recent sales trends, customer orders, and market events to adjust forecasts as needed and improve accuracy. S&OP Process: Actively participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, presenting demand forecasts and collaborating to reach consensus on production plans. Analysis and Reporting: Analyze forecast deviations, identify root causes, and generate reports to highlight areas for improvement and inform decision-making. System Administration: Maintain and update IBP system settings, configurations, and master data to ensure accurate and efficient demand planning processes.
