Solution Architect, Global Trade Services and Finance

We are looking for a Solution Architect (SA) who will report to the manager of solution architecture. The SA will primarily be defining the solution architecture on specific projects but will also work with business leaders to build a roadmap and solution alignment. As part of this role, the SA will review and understand business requirements for a project in order to design a technology solution that will meet those requirements while respecting the guiding principles of the Enterprise Architecture within the actual BRP context.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

\n\nProvide an architectural conception of the solution regarding business, application, information and technology domains via the solution architecture design document.\nBuild solution architecture for the global services ecosystem and its interfaces to connected systems.\nImplement and integrate technology solutions for global trade services, including broker connectivity, customs document management, trade compliance, import/export documentation management, global trade laws and regulation, and global trade services analytics.\nDesign and manage financial systems architecture, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tools. This involves ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with financial regulations.\nEnsure that all technology solutions comply with legal and regulatory requirements specific to global trade services and finance.\nPartner with the organization to understand organizational and departmental strategy, and agree on information systems solutions to meet the needs.\nEstimate costs and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licences, cyber security, development and support.\n\n

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

\n\nA bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent project-related experience.\nAt least ten years of experience in IT, with at least five years in information system design.\nIn-depth experience designing and implementing information solutions, with a specialization in one core enterprise systems area (e.g. Global trade services, Finance, Legal).\nHands-on experience implementing SAP S/4, SAP GTS, SAP ECC, Success Factors, Ariba.\nStrategic business acumen and understanding of organizational strategy and the ability to design information systems to deliver that strategy. \nExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience working with board-level stakeholders. \nA team player with experience leading and collaborating across teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions. \nStrong conceptual and analytical skills, demonstrated outside-the-box problem-solving skills and the ability to develop solution architecture designs. \nKnowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF with Archimate or the equivalent.\nBilingualism (French and English); knowledge of English is required because you will be representing BRP in negotiations with vendors in the US and interacting with stakeholders around the world.\n\n
