Expedia is looking for experienced technologists with strong technical capability and business acumen, who can think strategically while defining technology solutions that solve the complex business needs of our partners.

What you'll do:

Be responsible for defining software and solution packages that solve the needs of our clients

Be part of our amazing technology organization within Expedia Group where you will learn and grow as a key contributor to our engineering teams playing a critical role in working closely with our teams as well as top travel industry client partners

You will work with clients, sales, and incubation teams to gain a clear understanding of the overall business goals and objectives of our clients

You will understand any opportunities or gaps in the technology supporting their business and build solutions that address this by leveraging the technology and capabilities within Expedia’s Travel Platform

You will map out the necessary components to design an overall package of solutions

In selecting the right technology to address partner needs, you will also incorporate several technology architectural and operational considerations in the overall design and approach for the solution; including consideration for security, resiliency, and integration standard methodologies while incorporating partner and internal system requirements

You are the primary interface working directly with the client and their technical team

The Solution Architect plays a key role in selecting the right technology components for adoption, addressing the business needs of clients, and ensuring a positive outcome for our travel ecosystem

Experienced in sophisticated technology problems and able to communicate them to non-technical people

Worked interacting directly with clients and capable of mapping business problems with technology solutions

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $125,500.00 to $176,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $201,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
