About the Team

As a member of our diverse and skilled Presales team in North America, you will have the opportunity to wear many hats and be challenged daily. On a typical day, you will be working as part of a hardworking agile team responsible for conducting discovery calls and product solutioning. We help prospective clients transform and streamline their business to its fullest potential, using market data and strategic judgment to stay in front of our competitors.

About the Role

As a Solution Consultant, you will partner with the sales teams and deliver innovative product demonstrations to business users including the office of the CFO to highlight the value of Workday's platform as a true business decision making solution.

In this role, you will maximize your polished presentation abilities, collaborative presales experience, and your finance and accounting expertise to articulate and differentiate the value for and expand the adoption of Software as a Service (SaaS).

Responsibilities include:

The delivery of relevant product presentations, demonstrations, workshops and seminars.

To assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services and training.

To contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans.

Supporting all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives.

To assist sales in the response to RFIs and RFPs.

Ability to travel up to 50%

About You

Basic Qualifications - Solution Consultant

4+ years of extensive financial domain expertise

3+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g., Netsuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

2+ years in a pre-sales, sales consulting, implementation, or functional accounting role

2+ years working with core accounting concepts (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Projects, Financial Reporting and Cash Management)

 

Basic Qualifications - Senior Solution Consultant

7+ years of extensive financial domain expertise.

5+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g., Netsuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales consulting, implementation, or functional accounting role

3+ years of experience working with core accounting concepts (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Projects, Financial Reporting and Cash Management)

 

Other Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, and / or equivalent work experience.

Ability to work under pressure and work on multiple projects individually as well as working cross-functionally.

Prior experience in transportation, manufacturing or energy & utilities industries a plus.

Exceptional and dynamic presentation & communication skills.

Experience with value-based selling.

Outstanding professional discovery, presentation, communication, and influencing skills to C-Level Executives; selling to the office of the CFO specifically.

Experience presenting cloud-based solutions to both functional and technical audiences.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and apply technologies to address business challenges.
