About the role
The Solution Director is responsible for growing a specific Line of Business by selling our solutions into existing and new accounts. The Solution Director will take an active role in supporting key opportunities by providing guidance for the Solution Sales and Sales team using their professional knowledge and experience, as well as drawing on best practices. In addition to executing on the list of duties and responsibilities, this position requires you to provide guidance, direction, mentorship, and coaching for the members of the team. You will also be expected to lead, inspire, and support your team by growing their businesses. Travel to customer meetings may be required.
What you'll be doing
Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values. Develop strategies to maintain and increase market share for your designated Line of Business. Take ownership of Solution Design including working with Internal Service Providers (ISPs) to assemble a complete solution for the customer. Price the solutions to meet profitability expectations while also being competitive in the market. Lead Governance meetings to explain the solution and answer stakeholder questions. Provide effective transition and ongoing support to the ISP responsible for delivering the solution. Take the lead role when it comes to Solutioning large and complex opportunities. Provide mentoring and oversight on opportunities being worked by members of the Solution Director's team. Conduct sales campaigns and communicate to all stakeholders to win the sale. Grow customer contacts, increase collaboration, customer penetration and expansion. Own and develop relationships with your OEM partners. Identify a broad range of opportunities and customers to ensure a consistent pipeline. Present the Computacenter story to targeted customers. Generate new business opportunities in customer base and new customers. Transact complex transformational sales to maximize profit. Timely and accurate submission of forecast and mastery of salesforce. Prepare before customer meetings and own the follow-up after the meetings with customers and managers in a timely fashion. Consistent participation in designated office hours. Act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organization. What you have
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 10+ years of relevant experience in an IT environment IT sales experience, selling multi-million dollar deals with gross profits of $2M plus Legally eligible to work in the United States Expertise in the latest technologies for designated specialty area. Ability to build effective and constructive relationships. Understand and appreciate competitors’ strategy. Ability to resolve significant customer issues while moving the business forward. Willingness to collaborate and share best practices. Ability to lead formal negotiations to achieve successful outcomes for large value contractual sales. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use discretion and independent judgment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to present in a group setting. Project a professional image and strong business savvy during customer interactions. Knowledge of technology and the industry channel dynamics. Possess a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow-up skills. Strong business sense
