Solution Engineer-Austin, TX-Boulder, CO (Hybrid)
(Candidate will need to reside in either the Austin or Boulder area for in person team engagements)
(Work Schedule Monday-Friday 3 days in the office with Allegion being flexible on what those days are as well the candidate will need to be flexible on hours for customer support as needed if the customer is in a different time zone)
Job Summary:
As a global leader in physical security, Allegion has well-deserved reputation for best-in-class security solutions, including locks, access control, and other physical security technologies. We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join our team. This position will be a member of the Customer Success Organization and will be customer facing. The Solution Engineer will assist with technical account management of our customers. The Solution Engineer will support software integration projects with Allegion’s strategic security technology partners across cloud, mobile and physical hardware platforms. Solution engineers ensure partner solutions are certified and validated to operate according to industry and product best practice design patterns. Solution engineers are also responsible for supporting Allegion sales engineering and partner management teams in the development and maintaining sales demo infrastructure, including development of mobile applications and cloud-based user experiences that interact with and manage.
Allegion hardware solutions to demonstrate the value of Allegion solutions to end customers. Our customers are B2B customers who are developing security solutions that leverage Allegion's products and technologies. You will become an expert in usage of our own APIs and SDKs, helping guide our customers in development and solution best practices. In addition, this position will triage customer issues, identify the problem, and design the best technical solution for solving them. Solution engineers operate in the same department as Software Sales Engineering and alongside Sales, Product Hardware and Product Software teams to drive global adoption of Allegion solutions.
What You Will Do:
Become a technical subject matter expert in the Allegion Mobile Credentials space
Onboard and train customers and potential customers in how to use our APIs & SDKs
Triage and identify root cause of customer submitted issues
Work closely with product and engineering to define fixes and timelines
Be the voice of the customer to internal teams by relaying feedback and insight to product teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for technical queries
Assist in documenting troubleshooting steps, FAQs, best practices and user guides
Build a technical knowledge base for improving triage methods and speeds
Support production of content to assist sales, marketing, and customers including blog posts, training videos, and documentation
What You Need to Succeed:
1-2 years' experience with REST-based API development and usage preferred
BS Degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience with customer relationship management
Hard worker who is self-motivated
Hungry and eager to learn new technologies
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Willingness to dive into any issue in order to diagnose a problem
Effectively manage problems, guiding them to a resolution
Customer-first attitude with the ability to think like a customer
Ability to communicate with multiple teams and organize work appropriately

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
The expected Base Salary Range: $80,000 to $105,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
