The Program:

At Medidata, interns will have the opportunity to accelerate their careers by working closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. By being a part of our global organization, interns have the opportunity to work alongside our talented and committed professionals helping them to build a strong foundation for achieving their career goals. For 12 weeks, beginning May 19, 2025, interns will have an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a Medidatian. United around a single goal of empowering smarter treatments and healthier people. Medidatians work in a culture of curiosity, innovation and fun. You will be contributing to the line of business with sustainable and meaningful work.

Our Summer Internship program also includes instructor led training, guided mentorship, exposure to senior leadership and community service. In addition to individual and specific related responsibilities, each intern will participate in our Intern Innovation Lab. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative solution to a business problem currently facing Medidata. As they work diligently to present their final solutions to a panel of top Medidata leaders, we are confident that our interns will make a significant impact on our business.

About the Team:

In partnership with the Solution's marketing leads:

Support the development and execution of multi-channel campaigns aimed at generating leads for Medidata's core solutions, including EDC, Clinical Data Studio and more. Assist in the creation of email marketing campaigns, focusing on messaging for life sciences professionals and clinical trial stakeholders. Collaborate with the paid media team to optimize advertising strategies across platforms like LinkedIn and Google Ads. Contribute to landing page creation and A/B testing to enhance conversion rates for demand generation campaigns. Work with Solution's leads to understand campaign data and generate actionable insights to refine targeting and messaging strategies. Observe industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies in the clinical trials space. Assist in content development for blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and case studies that resonate with Medidata's customer base. Use marketing automation tools (e.g., Eloqua) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to manage leads and track campaign performance.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Interested in the life sciences, clinical trials, or health technology industries. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace tools. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to tailor messaging for a professional audience. Self-motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Familiarity with marketing tools like Eloqua, Google Analytics, or LinkedIn is a plus but not required. Gain hands-on experience in executing demand generation campaigns for industry-leading clinical trial solutions. Develop proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM platforms like Salesforce. Understand how to analyze marketing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategy. Learn about the B2B marketing funnel in the context of clinical research and life sciences. Build a portfolio of marketing assets, including emails, ads, and content pieces tailored to life sciences professionals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how marketing aligns with sales and product strategy. Develop strategic thinking skills while contributing to campaigns that drive real-world impact in clinical trials.

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 an hour and a $3,500 sign on bonus.
