Summary:
This role focuses on providing technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise to ensure smooth and efficient production. This role will also involve performing assembly tasks, working closely with automated systems, and interacting with our Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Assembly: Hands-on assembly of complex electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies, following detailed instructions, schematics, and drawings; i.e. wiring, mounting, fastening, and precision alignment.
+ Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex issues including mechanical malfunctions, electrical failures, software glitches, and process-related challenges.
+ Technical Support: Provide expert assistance to production teams on assembly procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting. May develop and deliver training on new equipment and processes.
+ Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency; and collaborate closely with cross functional engineering and production teams to design, test, and implement changes.
+ Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test procedures to validate functionality and performance of assemblies to meet quality standards; Analyze test data and provide recommendations for improvements.
+ Documentation: Maintain troubleshooting records, process changes, and test results. Create documentation, including work instructions, troubleshooting guides, test procedures, and preventative maintenance checklists.
+ Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on sophisticated assembly equipment, including specialized tools and fixtures, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
+ Collaboration: Work closely and effectively with engineering, production, quality, and field service teams to address technical challenges, ensure product quality, and support the lifecycle of our capital equipment.
+ Continuous Learning: advancements in electro-mechanical assembly, automation, and control systems relevant to the capital equipment used in the electronics industry. This includes staying informed about advancements in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
+ Automation and MES Integration: Work with automated assembly equipment, including robots, PLCs, and other systems; Including equipment interaction with our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and troubleshooting issues on data flow, communication, and process control within the MES environment.
+ Safety: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, contributing to a safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology) preferred, or equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years of experience in a relevant role, ideally within an electro-mechanical assembly environment.
+ Experience performing assembly work is highly desirable.
+ Understanding of electro-mechanical principles with hydraulics, pneumatics, and complex control systems.
+ Proficiency with tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, torque wrenches, precision measurement tools.
+ Proficiency with computer software and data analysis tools.
+ Experience with PLC programming and automation systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is preferred
+ Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies is preferred.
+ Preferred experience with specific electro-mechanical assembly equipment or processes relevant to the company's products (e.g., vacuum systems, precision alignment tools).
+ Experience working with and troubleshooting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is highly preferred.
+ Understanding of data acquisition and communication protocols used in automation is preferred.
Physical Demands:
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to work in a cleanroom or other controlled manufacturing environment (if applicable).
+ Good vision and hand-eye coordination.

Target Hourly Pay Range: $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr + Robust Benefits
